April Favourites

This month’s favourite’s is definitely a very different one to other months. My views have changed on so many things this month and I am a lot more appreciative of things I wouldn’t have been before.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for things to do during Lockdown, keep on reading.

RUNNING

I never thought I would write this…. But I am enjoying starting the Couch to 5K! I’m only on my second week, but i’ve already noticed an improvement and it’s honestly so great for the mind. Put your headphones in, turn on your Couch to 5K app and off you go.

PODCASTS

While running and walking, I am enjoying listening to Podcasts to keep my mind occupied. The 2 I’ve been listening to are James Smith PT and Showmance – Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale where they talk about their life on Glee.

BEAUTY

OK since we can’t go to our usual makeup counters, I’ve been testing out some makeup you can buy on Amazon and also in your local supermarket.

3 products I’ve been loving

1. Rimmell Lasting Finish 25 Hr Foundation

2. Collection Lash Surge Waterproof Mascara

3. Rimmell Lasting Radiance Concealer

Who says you have to spend big bucks to look Flawless? These are 3 items I will be repurchasing even after Lockdown ends!

Another product I bought was the BaByliss Big Hair from Amazon and as you can see, it gives you all the Rachel Green Hair Goals.

Also, if you are a blonde in need of some TLC like me, I tried out the Ice Pearl Toner available in Atelier and it gave my hair a nice ashy tone. Making my roots a bit more bare able until we can get back to the hairdressers.

BAKING

Baking wasn’t something that I ever enjoyed but while we are on lockdown, I took a craving for cookies that my Dad usually makes so I had a go at baking them myself. Here is the recipe from The Anna Edit.

As well as cookies, I made no-bake Protein Balls.

These are so easy to make, mix all the ingredients in a bowl, mix with an electric mixer and then split in to 9 balls.

NETFLIX

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been going to Netflix for some downtime during Lockdown. If you are a fashion lover, the best shows on Netflix are Absolutely Fabulous, Next in Fashion, Girl Boss, Ru Paul’s Drag Race and Gossip Girl.

COMFY FASHION

I don’t really enjoy “loungewear” so I’ve been trying to wear comfy clothes that aren’t considered loungewear. Such as midi dresses, skirts and T-Shirts and also comfy trousers. I do love ASOS loungewear at the moment though so I may have to invest in some!

You can check out my blog post on ‘Non-Loungewear Lockdown Outfits’ Here.

What have you been enjoying on Lockdown?
