Tips for Orlando, Florida

The absolute dream holiday for me arrived last year as I travelled to Orlando with my family. It was two weeks of absolute heaven.

I’m going to share with you my top tips if your planning on holidaying to Orlando.

1. Go to Disney Land First

I am undoubtedly a Disney Princess at heart so of course I had to visit Magic Kingdom. Yes it was amazing. However, as I had already spent a few days in Universal, the rollercoasters at Disney didn’t have a patch on Rip Ride Rocket.

So to avoid disappointing rollercoasters, I would advise going to Disney before any other Theme Park.

2. Eat dinner in The Leaky Cauldron

As an avid Potter Head, this was my absolute Dream. I honestly think I had a smile smeared across my face as soon as I walked in. Traditional English Food, Decor to match any Wizard House and moving pictures on the wall.

3. Have a Duff/Donut in Moes in Universal Studios

My brother and I absolutely adored the Simpsons Land at Universal. This took us back to our childhood of watching The Simpsons after school. After going on the Itchy and Scratchy Ride approximately 17 times, we headed to Moes for a Duff Beer, Flamin’ Moes and a Giant Donut. Honestly the best donut I’ve ever ate.

4. Shop at the outlets

Think about all the brands you adore but are a bit more expensive than your average shop here. Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Levis… The Outlet Mall in Orlando has all these shops and more but with massive discounts. I got so many great Bargains. Levis Jeans for £20,a Calvin Klein Backpack, an LBD and a Coach Handbag with 70% discount.

5. Attend the Car Cruise in the Old Town

Probably not the first activity you would think of when you think about a holiday in Orlando, but going to the Old Town was a highlight for me. Muscle cars lined the streets, live music and beers. What more could you honestly want.

6.Visit Celebration

We were fortunate enough to be in Orlando on 4th July so to Celebrate, we went to Celebration. (‘such an apt name’) This little village is so picturesque, it’s like something out of a fairy tale.

7. Eat pastries from Carlos’ Bakery

The Mall at Millenia is the best shopping mall I’ve ever set foot in. So many great American shops but to top it all off, the food hall is incredible. The best of the best is Carlos’s Bakery. Its a definite must for a coffee break.

8. Spend every minute taking everything in so you will never forget it, and take as many photos as you can.

Have you ever been to Orlando? Where was your favourite place to visit?
