I have always been a real advocate of embracing your personal style since I was a very young age. I wasn’t one for blending in or wearing what other girls were wearing.
My Mum is who I thank for this. I remember when I was 8 years old, rocking in to Primary School in a bright yellow Floral Puffer jacket from Benetton that I wore with everything, every colour, every print. It was bold, in your face and I loved it.
Fast forward 20 years and I have come circle. This KITRI shirt has reminded me of my favourite coat as a child. (Albeit a bit more grown up).
I feel like this is a very typical “Snazzy Yazi” shirt. It’s bright, colourful and oversized. A shirt like this can only be styled one way… Extra and Sassy.
I knew I wanted to wear this with a pair of flared trousers and platforms for a 70s feel to match the retro shirt.
I sometimes find it difficult to define my style, but at the moment I would have to say it’s bright, colourful and quirky. I love oversized items, clashing prints and bold colours and this outfit ticks all the boxes for me.
Embracing your own style whether it’s quirky, girly, boho or minimalistic is so important. If you wear clothes just because they are “on trend” or you’ve seen every influencer wearing it on Instagram, it shows and you don’t look comfortable.
