I LOVE NEW YORK!!! I cannot describe the love I have for this City.
The fashion, the food, the drinks. Everything about the city is a dream.
This is the first of a series of Blog Posts about my trip to New York City, and this will consist of my favourite shops that I visited.
So if you’re going to New York and you love fashion as much as I do, keep on reading. to find out my top spots to visit.
H & M on Times Square
This is without a doubt the greatest H & M I have ever been in. Not only is it HUGE, it’s open until 1am. So perfect for anyone with major jet lag.
The store also holds the absolutely gorgeous Studio Range.
Forever 21 on Times Square
Again, in one of the busiest areas in NYC, this store is gigantic, and again, open until 1am. However, I will give you a word of warning, if you see something that you love, buy it then and there, because it’s so busy, when you go back to get it, it will be gone… FOREVER
Macy’s
You think of New York, you think of Macy’s don’t you? Now I will tell you why I loved Macy’s.
One. The Big Piano.
Two. Gucci
Three. The fact that I got a pair of Betsy Johnson Brogues for $36. BARGAIN.
Saks
Let’s face it, the clothes in Saks are amazing to look at, but there is no chance in hell I will be buying anything. This store is definitely for the Kardashians of the World. A pair of shoes can sting you a cool $1000, but I got to say, I loved wandering about looking at all the colourful Moschino and Gucci pieces even if I couldn’t buy. Definitely worth a visit.
The Vintage Shop across from Macy’s on 5th Avenue
OH MY GOD – this place is a little gem. Quirky, vintage, personalised items. They have designer replica t-shirts for a fraction of the price of the real deal (don’t hate me). Original jewellery pieces and great gifts. I can’t remember the name of it (It might not even have a name) but you can’t miss it, its beside Sephora, across the street from Macy’s on 5th Ave.
Victoria’s Secret Outlet Shop
My first time in a Victoria’s Secret store was to the one on 5th. The service was incredible, I got measured and a fab girl called Myra hooked me up (no pun intended) with the best bra my boobs have ever been in. No exaggeration.
So, after the marvellous time I had in the main store, I spied the outlet store at Jersey Gardens. Again, the service was great and the girl in the store took me directly to my bra size which was just discounted to…. wait for it…. $8. Yes, I purchased 2 bras, and 4 pairs of pants for $32! Absolute Bargain.
Century 21
Well… this place is what I can only describe as an up scale TK Maxx. It was Mum who had wanted to go in to look for Tommy Hilfiger, but while I was in I spotted Moschino Jumpers, Karl Lagerfeld T-Shirts, Calvin Klein Suits, Louis Vuitton Bags and Alexander McQueen scarves. These are ALL discounted too, they are last season but lets face it, you can buy basic pieces that you can wear for years and years…
Obviously I could go on and on about all the shops in New York, but these were my absolute favourite. Hopefully you enjoyed this post and if you want to read more about my trip to New York, please comment below.
