Hi guys, and Happy Monday!
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought it would be a good opportunity to tell you all that I love you! No really, if it wasn’t for you reading my blog, I wouldn’t be where I am as a blogger!
But more importantly, I want say, LOVE YOURSELF. I know that Valentine’s Day is for couples in love, but it’s so important to love yourself no matter if you are or aren’t in a relationship.
I have an awful habit of putting myself down and comparing myself to others. Which I’m working on and trying to be kinder to myself. The past week I was particularly tough on myself, so what I did was take a few days away from blogging, spending time with friends, going walks and spending time away from my phone, and it was AWESOME. (Oh and I also changed my hair). My mood was better, I had a much more positive outlook and I basically felt great about myself.
I know that the online / social media lives of others can make you compare yourself to them. Whether its looks, jobs, travel or money. But everyone has hang ups. So it’s important to just know that you are amazing as you are and just love yourself for you!
I know that it’s a bit late for New Years Resolutions, but in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I’m going to do the following to help me feel awesome:
- Take one full day a week away from blogging. (No Instagram, no Snapchat, no Photos)
- Get up earlier to put on makeup that makes ME feel better
- Pick only outfits that I LOVE – life is too damn short to wear boring clothes
- Just generally try to be nicer about myself
