West Coast Cooler Fashion Week SS18

Hi fellow fashion lovers.

I have some exciting news for you all. I’m sure you will all love this post.

I recently attended the West Coast Cooler Fashion Week Press Launch at Ormeau Baths in Belfast, organised by Cathy Martin.

The Fashion Event showcased just a snippet of what’s to come at West Coast Cooler Fashion Week in March, and showed some amazing trends for this SS18.

Some trends you should take note of for Spring/Summer are:

Co-Ords

Jacket/Trouser, Trouser/Shirt, Shirt/Pencil Skirt combo’s were rife on the runway. There is something so satisfying about a matchy-matchy outfit.

Monochrome

An all black and white outfit can seem a bit boring at times, but believe me, these outfits are far from. Pick a monochrome outfit in a bold print and your outfit will stand out miles!

Pencil Skirts

I am so happy that this trend is back! I’m not a fan of a mini (because I’m tall). These are pencil skirts with a difference! Metallic, floral and with plenty of detail, your work wear has never been more pretty!

Ruffles

Ah ruffles, not just for your granny’s doily. Sequins and colour clashing dresses take girly ruffles to create a bolder look.

Socks 

You all know how much I love a sock with shoes. I loved the fish net socks with the shoes on the runway.

Street Style

I LOVE street style/leisure wear. Although, I always felt like it was a trend I couldn’t pull off… But seeing these looks have made me want to try this trend out. Pass me those trainers and ski pants!

Other trends/colours you should expect to see on at the West Coast Cooler Fashion Week are: Pinks, Lilacs, Greens, Dots, Stripes. I can’t wait to see what they have in store!

West Coast Cooler Fashion Week is the biggest fashion event in Northern Ireland, and as it’s in it’s 25th season this Spring, it’s bound to get bigger and better.
