Trend Alert: Sequins

One of my favourite Christmas looks is full on, over the top, sparkly as anything Sequins. Any colour, any style, any shape. I. LOVE. IT.

A great thing about the sequin trend is, it makes a comeback each year… So, you know that sequin dress you bought a few years ago? Dig it out.. It’ll still look bloody good this Christmas.

I want to show you some of my favourite colours for this Christmas in glorious sequin outfits!

Silver

Oh. My. Word. These trousers are so me! Although there’s no chance I would wear these with a crop top. What I’m thinking is a silky long sleeve top and sky scraper heels.

Trousers | Missguided £50

Black

I first seen this dress on Cilento’s Instagram page – I fell in love with the chunky sequins! I’m thinking I would pair it with a polo neck and a baker boy for something a little different.

Dress | Cilento £44.99

Gold

To be completely honest, I’m not a HUGE fan of gold sequins, as it can look a bit tacky if its the slightly wrong shade. Saying that though – this Monsoon dress is FABULOUS with the slight silver sequins through the gold.

Dress | Monsoon £79

Rainbow

Hitting two trends in one with this dress – Rainbow colours are HUGE right now. Zara’s styling is perfect as always. Not one thing I would change about this look. Buy this dress and be the envy of everyone at the Christmas Party.

Dress | Zara £39.99

Blue

I adore the back detail on this dress! And because it’s not too low, you can still wear a bra, which is always a winner…

Dress | Warehouse £59

Pink

I don’t usually buy skirts, but I would make an exception for this. I can imagine this is what Cher Horrowitz would wear on Christmas Day with a white blouse… Perfection.

Skirt | River Island £40

Green

Truth be told, if I’m going to wear a sequin dress at Christmas, I want it to be green. As I want to resemble a Christmas Tree (Who wouldn’t). I can picture me wearing this dress with tassled earrings and a fluffy black handbag!

Dress | Zara £39.99
