Last week, you may have read all about my favourite trends to carry you through to the Christmas Party season.
As I know a lot of you will already be planning your perfect outfit for your office party, or for a night out with friends, I thought I should elaborate more on these key trends.
First up – metallic. Metallic clothing has been HUGE this season, we’ve seen designers showcase bold metal collections on the catwalk; From Proenza Schuler’s Metallic Trousers (not for the faint hearted)…
To Gucci’s feminine pleated rainbow skirt. (Swoons)
But let’s face it, unless you’re a Kardashian, you aren’t going to spend £1,000 on a pair of silver trousers, no matter how cool they might be.
So lucky for you, I’ve found affordable AND super on trend pieces for you to browse through. Hopefully I can help you find the perfect outfit to turn up at your Christmas Party looking as shiny as a Christmas Bauble (If that’s the look you’re going for…)
The Power Suit
The perfect outfit for any gal who hates dresses. I think Topshop have absolutely nailed the trend with this suit, however I can’t help but wonder what it would look like with Pink accessories…
Jacket £55 | Trousers £45
The Party Dress
Oh. My. Days. The Pink hue from this Zara dress is stunning! And teamed with a pair of metallic boots takes the trend that one step extra! *Bonus point* the loose fit will hide any Turkey Dinners you may have eaten.
Dress £29.99
The Going Out Top
I have a feeling that this River Island Top is going to be a bit of a marmite item. Personally, I bloody love it! If you can’t wear something a bit more bold at Christmas, then when can you? Instead of wearing it with PVC, I would probably wear it with Skinny Black jeans and Kitten Heels.
Top £38
The Man Repeller Trousers
Let’s face it, no one does Man Repelling quite like Mango, and these Silver Trousers are no exception. They’re super baggy, but if you like to show off your figure, you could team these with a simple bodysuit and mega high heels.
Trousers £49.99
The Trophy Jacket
I think this Blazer from H & M is my favourite from this whole post. Yes, it is a little bit pricier than the rest, but this is a jacket that you can wear to death for years to come. Paired with a pair of red trousers and a bralette underneath, you’re good to go.
Jacket £99.99
The Clutch
Skinny Dip has hit the nail on the head with this clutch.. DAMN GIRL! I’m a huge fan of a statement clutch and no one does quirky like Skinny Dip. ( Also loved by Megan Ellaby)
The Over the Knee Boot
This is a difficult trend to pull off without looking like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (although I’m not entirely sure if that’s a bad thing). However, I think these boots from Lamoda would work with a black high neck jumper dress for a casual look.
There we have it lovelies, some of my favourite metallic pieces online.. What was your favourite?
Keep an eye for the next post on Sequins…
