You’ve heard about the famous Fashion Week’s from all over the world, New York, Paris, London, Milan, even Tokyo and now Derry!
If there’s one thing to know about Derry, it’s the girls who live there, have style. Seriously – if you’ve ever been on a night out in Granny Annies or been shopping on a Saturday in Foyleside, you’ll have seen that Derry gals love fashion! Which is why it’s no surprise that since 2014, Derry has hosted it’s very own Fashion Fest!
So, here’s everything and anything you would possibly need to know about the 2017 Event.
Where and When?
There have been various events throughout the years, from Fashion Shows at the glorious St Columbs Hall to Afternoon Tea in beautiful Prehen House.
This year, Fashion Fest takes place at none other than Derry’s famous Guild Hall on 14th October at 8pm in the style of a catwalk show.
Fashion Fest promises to demonstrate the season’s biggest trends and cutting edge designs. This year, they will showcase some of the best Irish designers:
- Una Rodden
- Edel McBride
- Lynsey McGarrigle
- Nicola McLaughlin
- Bernie Murphy
- Sara O’Neill
- Shauna Fay
- Riona Treacy
- Nor Lisa
- Grainne Maher
- Chloe Dougan
- Polly McGettigan
- Christopher Reid
And last but certainly not least, World Famous Designer, Jenny Packham will be showcasing her 2018 Bridal Range! Could it get any more fabulous?? I don’t think so.
The British Designer is best known for dressing the Duchess of Cambridge and other high profile celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman and Kate Hudson. In 2013, she designed a bespoke gown for Adele at the 85th Academy Awards!
